i bought this thinking it was am2 but its am2+ and doesnt work on the board i bought it for so i had to swap my 5000 black edition(am2) for this, huge step down imo

I've installed many CPU's ... plugged this one in installed the fan .. plugged in the computer no response ... checked for proper placement uninstalled the chip reinstalled carefully. It's probably no reflection on the seller but it was very dissipointing and I've lost my reciept as far as I can tell so I'm just out the money. The old CPU was reinstalled and it worked fine.

i would save up a little more $ and get a better model, this is a low end one, not very fast but good for a slim budget build. i am happy with mine but will be upgrading in semi near future.
