5 out of 5 stars No problems at all!   June 28, 2010

I purchased this to pair with an AMD Athlon II x3 Rana 2.9ghz processor and 4GB of RAM. I'm running two Radeon 4670 cards on it. Along with a modest Roseville case and Win 7, I've made myself a decent budget gaming rig for about $500.

So far I've had no complaints AT ALL with the mobo. My system has run absolutely stable since day one, including some heavier graphics duties. It's worth noting that I do not overclock my processors and I always run with plenty of fan cooling - I believe this helps with stability in most builds, including mobo heat.

It came quickly from Amazon packed securely. Bonus: the included documentation was clearer than most mobo info.

5 out of 5 stars Cheap Board, Great way to upgrade on a budget.   April 27, 2010

I don't make a lot of money as most of it goes to necessities but I can say that ASRock (a subsidiary of ASUS for those who are wary of the name) makes great boards at bargain prices. I can say that my PC is running smoothly and I am upgrading it little by little. I plan to have an AMD Phenom BE 955 3.2ghz running in this puppy so I can finally run GTA4 with it looking like a poorly draw cartoon!

I know my review is vague and rushed, but if you are on a budget and you want to upgrade from the constantly changing Intel sockets, then this board is for you.

1 out of 5 stars Was Malfunctioning on Arrival.   April 24, 2010

I installed this board and inserted my newly bought DDR3 ram along with the CPU and all the other goodies. It booted up fine, BIOS was working great, so I proceeded to install Windows 7 Professional. Anywhere from original unpacking of the windows 7 data to the beginning of the windows install, I would get a BSOD. I thought it might have been my hard drive or possibly the RAM was malfunctioning, so I decided to check the RAM out. I ran Memtest86 to check the RAM. With both sticks in, the Memtest failed at test 7, right at the beginning. I decided to see which RAM stick was failing and tested each RAM stick separately. Both failed separately at test 7, right at the beginning. This led me to believe it wasn't a RAM issue as it seems very unlikely both would fail at the same spot. This ruled out the hard drive and led me to the motherboard.

I returned this mobo and both an MSI one that was a bit more expensive and had a standalone video card on it as well and it works great with all my computer parts, in fact I'm typing this review on my new computer right now! I would suggest you stay away from this motherboard. If there is one item you should splurge on when making a computer, it should be your mobo. I didn't listen to my own advice and had to deal with returning it and waiting for a new mobo.
